December 20, 2024 – Important Information About the Proposed Private Copying Tariff 2025-2027
The CPCC has proposed a 2025-2027 Private Copying Tariff with the Copyright Board on the same terms and conditions as the 2022-2024 Private Copying Tariff and is currently awaiting a decision from the Board. Until there is a decision from the Board, the CPCC will continue to collect levies in 2025 in accordance with the 2022-2024 Private Copying Tariff pursuant to s.83(10) of the Copyright Act. The CPCC will continue to provide timely updates in the event of any new developments.
December 17, 2021 – The Copyright Board of Canada issued the Private Copying Tariffs 2022, 2023 and 2024
The Canadian Private Copying Collective (CPCC) is pleased to note that the Copyright Board of Canada has issued the 2022, 2023 and 2024 Private Copying Tariffs on December 17, 2021.
The 2022-2024 tariffs maintain the private copying levy for each unit of CD-R, CD-RW, CD-R Audio and CD-RW Audio at the current rate of 29 cents.

December 13, 2019 – The Copyright Board of Canada issued the Private Copying Tariffs 2020 and 2021
The Canadian Private Copying Collective (CPCC) is pleased to note that the Copyright Board of Canada has issued the 2020 and 2021 Private Copying Tariffs on December 13, 2019.
The 2020 and 2021 tariffs maintain the private copying levy for each unit of CD-R, CD-RW, CD-R Audio and CD-RW audio at the current rate of 29 cents.

The Copyright Board of Canada issued the 2018 and the 2019 Private Copying Tariffs on December 1, 2017. The 2018 and 2019 tariffs maintain the private copying levy for each unit of CD-R, CD-RW, CD-R audio and CD-RW audio at the current rate of 29 cents.
